Top Geezer Chen Hao-Wei's Footballing Dream

Born in the Amis tribal village of Xincheng in Hualien, 26-year-old Chen Hao-wei is an amiable and reflective young man who plays football professionally for a club in Beijing and for Taiwan's national team.

In this episode, we discover why Hao-wei's fight to transcend a sense of rejection in his youth fuelled an indefatigable spirit of determination on the road to success; how the trials and tribulations of pro football life have forged a profound gratitude for family in Hao-wei's heart; and why for Hao-wei, deep bonds formed in his youth prove that blood isn't always thicker than water.

Chen Hao-wei:Because in this family I'm away a lot. I rarely get the chance to spend time with family. All the great and splendid things outside can never compare to being with family.

Wu Lan-ying:That's my own personal feeling. What a great son.

Chen Jin-fu:Taiwan! Come on! Chen Hao-wei! Come on! I'm really grateful to my wife.

Chen Kai-lin:I'm still scared that one day he’ll leave us and stop being my brother. I still worry about this.

Wu Han-yong:His grandpa, the chief is not only the spiritual leader of his people but also a pillar of support for his grandson.
