在生活機能不便的山中，什麼事情都得自己來。阿謀一家人栽作了各式的野菜、果樹，復育田螺、蛤仔，養殖各式魚種；偶爾小朋友想吃點不同的就是去溪邊釣魚、找溪蝦，去山林裡獵綠鬣蜥、放陷阱捕捉破壞農作的山豬，在飲食這方面可說得上自給自足，整座山都能是食材來源；也是阿謀兩個女兒最天然的遊樂場。

倆人的矛盾源於多年前阿謀考上海洋大學的那一年。新生報到那天，黃爸特別開車載阿謀和日用品到基隆去報到，回程時卻出了車禍。這件事是後來阿謀決定休學回家去陪伴父母的關鍵原因。但黃爸卻始終認為：兒子不趁年輕時好好讀書、不出去闖闖，待在偏鄉到底能有什麼前途？！

Introduction
