Johno has been filming programs in Asia since 1993. His career started with the BBC filming current affairs programs for such Landmark programs strands as This World, Panorama, Horizon and the BBC’s Natural History Unit. Johno has filmed across the world from Afghanistan to Antarctica covering all genres of documentaries. He was the DOP on two highly successful groundbreaking reality series for the BBC - SAS are you Tough Enough? and D-Day the raw recruits.

Moving from DOP to directing, he made series for Animal Planet including ‘Mekong Soul of the River’, Discovery Channel ‘Revealed’ and NGCI's ‘Megafish’. Now he is executive producer on all of IFA's NGCI output including the following shows in production: Inside Fish Wars, Last of the Sumatran Maneaters, and Attack of the Monster Jellyfish. He was series producer for three series of the ratings winner – Monsterfish for National Geographic US. Recently he produced 3 prize winning shows and 6 nominated shows for the Asian TV Awards in 2008. He was the director on the award winning ‘Bird Without Borders’ with Taiwan’s Public Television.
